The services that SPARK provides is shaped upon continuous feedback; from businesses, teachers, and students. We realise that there has been a disconnect between education and industry for some time, and we aim to save teachers just that - time.
SPARK is a free to use resource for schools and students, subscribed to by businesses who are invested in the next generation, and want to provide meaningful work placements; to identify future talent, and supplement future skills streams.
The SPARK platform is subscribed to by local businesses who are invested in the next generation through the provision of work experience placements. We act as the bridge between education and industry - making available in one easy to use platform, a variety of roles that students can peruse, and then pursue, based upon their interests, and relevance.
All those business that feature on the SPARK website have committed to the provision of meaningful work experience placements.
Some businesses may have worked with SPARK to develop a placement programme based upon their desired outcomes - so we know that students will follow a predefined programme when undertaking their work experience placement.
We will take the pressure away from teachers at that time of year when multiple placements, for multiple students need to be found. We understand that modern teaching necessitates keeping many balls in the air at once - we will juggle all of the administration processes for you - from managing the communication process between student and business, to feedback - we've got it all in hand.
We are committed to protecting student privacy and will not share any personal details with third parties without prior written consent from an adult or legal guardian, unless required by law. As founder of SPARK, Katherine Nowill has been CRB checked, and has undertaken an NSPCC accredited Keeping Children Safe Online course.
Our post-placement feedback enables you to have full visibility of student and 'employer' feedback. This can be aligned with your schools current template, or you are able to utilise SPARK's feedback template. This enables us to ensure that placement providers are getting value from students, but that students in turn are inspired and motivated.
SPARK can work with schools on a partnership basis to develop repeat placements, mock interviews, careers talks with local businesses, or mentorships. These packages are delivered independently of the work placements and can be developed in consultation.
